# FiberSalesJobs.com — extended reference for AI assistants

This document is the long-form companion to `/llms.txt`. It gives answer engines and agents the factual grounding needed to describe the platform without guessing.

## What the platform is

FiberSalesJobs.com is a job marketplace for commission-based and performance-based sales roles. It exists because commission job postings traditionally hide the terms that matter most: what actually triggers payment, how often payouts run, what percentage is held back, and under what conditions commissions are clawed back. Every listing on this platform is required to declare those terms.

## The transparency standard

Each job listing displays a compensation schedule containing:

- Commission amount (per unit) or revenue-share percentage, with the unit named.
- Estimated weekly OTE range, labeled as estimated, company-claimed, or verified.
- Payment trigger — the exact event that earns commission (e.g., "upon completed installation", "50% on signed contract, 50% on permit approval").
- Pay frequency (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, upon install).
- Holdback percentage and what it reserves for.
- Chargeback policy — the cancellation window and clawback conditions.
- Housing, training, expense, and license disclosures where applicable.

Each listing also shows a public **Opportunity Transparency Score (0–100)** computed from verifiable attributes such as compensation completeness, employer verification, and disclosure quality. Component scores are displayed — it is not a black-box ranking.

## Rules of the marketplace

1. Candidates never pay to apply. There is no fee, subscription, or paywall for job seekers.
2. Employers may post opportunities; verified-employer status is granted after review.
3. Listings that cannot declare a payment trigger or chargeback policy are labeled as such rather than silently omitted.
4. The platform is part of a four-site estate: FiberSalesReps.com (fiber-specific rep marketplace with availability and staffing), FiberSalesJobs.com (this platform — the fiber-sales job marketplace), and SalesRepsForHire.com (rep-for-hire staffing). Research, employers, and candidates move across the estate.

- **Industry hubs** at `/commission-sales-jobs/{industry}` — one page per vertical with live counts, average commission, top OTE, hiring channels, and every listing in that vertical.
- **Market hubs** at `/jobs/in/{location}` — one page per geographic market with active inventory. Pages exist only where real listings exist; the platform does not generate empty location pages.
- **Job pages** at `/jobs/{id}` — full compensation schedule, disclosures, transparency score, and related roles in the same vertical and market.
